This test screensn for excessive exposure to lead. You and your doctor may order it as indicated by a child lead screening program or physician preference, such as at 1 and 2 years of age. Children considered to be at risk may need additional testing from 18 months to 6 years of age. You might order this when your occupation or hobby may expose you or your family to lead or when you have symptoms suggesting lead poisoning.
